Adobe has released a new set of guidelines for photographers and digital content creators that aims to help make it easier to monetize content on the platform.
According to the new guidelines, content creators who want to create their own video content, video apps, and other creative projects on the website will be able to do so.
Users will be required to have a minimum of 30,000 subscribers and upload at least 500 videos per month.
The new rules will be implemented in stages starting with the first round of editing in January.
Adobe will be taking a more hands-off approach in the coming months, and the new set will likely go into effect before the end of the year.
However, there are some new details that you might want to keep in mind before you jump into the new year:The rules require a minimum number of subscribers for each project, but will allow for additional subscribers in the form of subscriptions to be offered at a higher rate for additional videos.
The guidelines also state that video subscribers can still purchase a $30 monthly subscription for video content creators.
There is one notable new change: Content creators can no longer use the new Creative Cloud service to publish their work.
The service offers video and audio editing tools, and is aimed at video producers and editors.
Adobe said that it will continue to offer the service for existing subscribers as well, and that the company will continue providing the service “to existing subscribers who have not opted in to new subscription tiers.”
However, new users will need to go through a registration process that takes about a month.
Admittedly, it will be an adjustment to get used to, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.
The company has made a number of changes to its photography program in the past, including changing the way the service is monetized, and introducing more paid content creators with more access to subscribers.
However if you’re an existing subscriber, you may want to check out these new guidelines.
