This is an excerpt from our article on #NoBidNoWall, a campaign by an Australian woman to stop Australia’s immigration system from being flooded with refugees and asylum seekers.
The hashtag #NoBorderNoWall was trending on Twitter on Sunday.
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) said the campaign was “being run by a number of people including individuals from overseas”.
The hashtag has gained traction as a way to highlight the need for Australia to open its doors to refugees and migrants.
The Australian Government has also set aside $1.8 billion for the #YesAllWomen campaign.
It’s been branded the most important political initiative of the day by the Australian Women’s Lobby.
It’s a campaign which has been supported by both parties and Labor has been pushing for it to be more effective than the government’s previous efforts.
